DINNER AT DE SANTOS FOR DAN RAGONE
This past March, Interview Magazine hosted a special fete in honor of their new president Dan Ragone at De Santos restaurant in the West Village. Interview approached us looking for simple yet elegant arrangements for their intimate dinner. Inspired by both the rustic, Tuscan menu and décor of the restaurant, we put together an ensemble of small, white arrangements for the dinner tables as well as flowering branches for the bar and entranceway.
For the entrance table, guests entered the dinner greeted by a tall arrangement of white cherry blossoms. Additional flowering pear branch arrangements decorated each corner of the bar.

Small arrangements of white Ranunuclus, Hydrangeas, Lisianthus, Ginestra and Bouvardia were placed on the dinner tables in alternating heights and sizes. Each arrangement used only one type of white flower to give a clean, chic look. See below for more photos and a link to Interview Magazine's write up. Enjoy!

Design on a Dime
We at In Bloom New York are huge fans of flea markets and thrift shops. Whether we are looking for decorative pieces or just perusing, Housing Works is on the top of our list of places to find funky items at a great price in support of a charitable cause. Not only could you find anything from pewter candlesticks to amazing iron benches, you can shop knowing that you are helping fight HIV/AIDS and homelessness.
When our friends at Laura Kirar asked for a flower & plant donation for their vignette at the annual Housing Works Design on a Dime event, we immediately said, Yes! Every year Housing Works has the top interior designers in the country put together room vignettes for the event showcasing new furniture, housewares and accessories. All the items are available for purchase at the event and donated to charity.
We created two small arrangements of green Cymbidium orchids and two handmade glazed ceramic pots filled with mixed succulents. Below are pictures of Laura Kirar's gorgeous vignette - Enjoy!
