Bromeliad Plants

Two weeks ago we received an incredible assortment of Bromeliad plants, a few of which I have never seen before in these vibrant colors.  Bromeliads plants are great for even the most novice gardener since they are usually inexpensive, easy to grow and require very little maintenance.  Bromeliads can be grown both indoors and outdoors as long as the temperature is not freezing.  You would expect such a simple plant to look boring, however this species has some of the most brilliant blooms.  Surprisingly, the most common form of a Bromeliad plant is the pineapple! Who knew!

The top picture is an example of a Aechmea Del Mar Bromeliad and the bottom is the Aechmea Blue Tango Bromeliad.  Both can be purchased at our store, Plant Shed New York Flowers.
